Located in Tanzania's Manyara Region, Tarangire National Park is a 2-hour drive from Arusha city.

​The park gets its name from the Tarangire River that runs across the reserve and serves as the main watering hole especially during the dry season.

​Tarangire National Park is a prime destination for avid bird watchers as it is home to over 550 bird species. The park is also home to the largest number of elephants in Tanzania along with other wildlife such as giraffes, wildebeests, cheetahs, zebras, and gazelles.

​Tarangire National Park also offers guided walking tours providing the opportunity to get up close to the famous baobab and acacia trees.

Ngorongoro Crater often referred to as "the Garden of Eden" is the world's largest volcanic caldera and is located 4 hours away from Arusha city.

​Ngorongoro Crater is the location of some of Tanzania's most picturesque views along with a wide variety of wildlife including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros).

​In addition to the Big 5, you can expect to see zebra's, flamingos, hippopotamuses, hyenas, wildebeest plus many more.

​The conservation park is not only home to wildlife. Roughly 40,000 Masai live within the park and can be located during the drive down into the crater floor.

Serengeti National Park is home to the Great Migration where hundreds of wildebeests cross the Mara River into Kenya between July and August every year.

The national park is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and spans 15,000 square kilometers.

Serengeti National Park is home to over 2 million wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hippopotamuses plus over 500 species of bird.

In addition to game drives, the national park also offers additional activities including hot air balloon rides, cheetah walks, and tribal visits. All activities can be organized through Omura.

Located between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley is the Lake Manyara National Park. Listed as the seventh-largest lake in Tanzania spanning 470 square kilometers.

​This national park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the large elephant herds, and many flamingos that lace the edge of Lake Manyara.

​Similar to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park is a must-see for bird waters as the park is home to over 400 species of birds.

Lake Eyasi is a seasonal salted lake that is located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. During Tanzania's dry season the lake dries up so the surrounding wildlife congregates near the small amount of water left. This makes it easier for wildlife viewing for travelers.

​Lake Eyasi offers great additional activities such as walking tours either half-day or full-day or the chance to go on a hunting trip with the Hadzabe tribe.

Located on the border of Kenya is Lake Natron. The lake is Tanzania's most hypersaline and alkaline lake making the waters a bright red. As a result of the alkaline levels, the water sits at around 40°C - 60°C (104°F - 140°F) and is harmful to most wildlife.

​The most famous alkaline lake in Tanzania is home to the biggest breeding ground for the Lesser Flamingo breed with over 75% of the breed being born on the shores of Lake Natron.

​Located south of the lake is Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano located in the Gregory Rift. The volcano stands at 2,960m with the last eruption in 2006.

A trip to Lake Natron adds not only spectacular views of the lake but also the opportunity for climbers to hike up Ol Doinyo Lengai for an additional cost.

Located 25km from the city of Arusha, it is home to the second largest mountain in Tanzania, Mount Meru and the world’s largest population of giraffes.

Arusha National Park is home to many wildlife species including giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, zebras, elephants, leopards, hippos, and a variety of monkeys and birds.

The park is also home to the spectacular Tululusia waterfall and the Fig Tree Arch, an arch-shaped tree large enough for elephants to pass through.
